FAQS
Question: Why does my toilet sound as though it's still running water a few minutes after being flushed?
Answer: When a toilet has been flushed but is still running water, the seal is probably too worn. The fill valve is trying to refill the tank to the proper levels. Call us for a free estimate.
Question: My faucets and showerheads have low water pressure. What can I do for more pressure?
Answer: Start by removing the faucet or showerhead aerators so you can clean out or flush the pipes. If this doesn't help, your house probably needs to be re-piped.
Question: My water heater is making a rumbling noise. What does this mean?
Answer: The rumbling noise is due to sediment build-up inside the water heater. Start by flushing the water heater—step-by-step directions should be in the instructions that came with the water heater. If this doesn't help, the water heater will probably need to be replaced soon.
Question: Why is it necessary to test for sewer or water leak(s) under the slab?
Answer: Because of the expansion/contraction clay soils we have in the North Texas Area, which expands when wet, and contract when dry, an undetected or un-repaired water source which is left under the slab, can/will at some point cause a problem to the foundation structure of the home.
Question: When should a plumbing sewer and water test be done?
Answer: Anytime foundation work is done on a concrete slab, during lifting and leveling it is always possible plumbing pipes could be pulled apart causing a leak. Even after repairs, an undetected and/or unrepaired leak can cause problems to the foundation structure. Therefore we recommend testing under the following circumstances. Prior to any foundation repair work (Pre Sewer & Water Test) Prior to any mud jacking/pumping foundation work (MJ Sewer & Water Test) After and foundation repair work (Final Sewer & Water Test) Re-occurring sewer pipe stoppage problems Higher than usual water bills Prior to the purchase of a home Preventative maintenance testing is also a good idea. (Recommended at least once yearly)
